Pattaya Hotels
Thai people are mighty proud of their beaches and love tourists. And Pattaya is indeed a Mecca for travelers across the world. A rocking place, Pattaya offers much to do and much to see with its gloriously overcrowded beaches, watersports, sightseeing, shopping, culture and history, and a raucous and dangerous nightlife. Pattaya definitely has it all. To even suggest that Pattaya is popular would be an understatement!
Nestled besides the picturesque and very scenic bay on the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 170 kilometers from Bangkok in the southeast, Pattaya is especially known for its golden beaches greedily lapping at the feet of the shimmering azure waters of the Gulf. Pattaya Beach is a must visit beach, located centrally and spilling people of all shapes, sizes and colors! Other beaches worth visiting are the Jomtien beach that is separated from the mainland by Buddha Hill; the Dongtan beach also known as the ‘gay’ beach but equally busy, and Ko Lan or the Coral Island.
While people from almost every corner of the world (did someone say the world is round?) visit Pattaya through the year, the best time to visit this beachgoers paradise is from early December to end of April. Tourists must avoid Pattaya from May to October because of monsoons unless the reason for visit is to get a taste of the hedonistic nightlife. Pattaya’s nightlife is dubious for being naughty and sexual. Rocking and entertaining with its cabaret revues that feature kathoeys (drags/male-to female transsexuals), or the numerous gay nightclubs, beer bars and go-go clubs there is much to explore and enjoy!
