The Big Buddha – reputed as the most popular attraction of them all, the Big Buddha is an epic landmark on the northern shore of the island. Built in 1972, with a height of 15 meters in sitting position, this statue is a place of worship for visitors.
Chaweng Beach – this beach is long and clean and very attractive. White sand and azure waters radiate a magnetism that few can resist. Lamai Beach – this is the second most beautiful and large beach of Samui Island. Clean and warm water makes swimming a relaxing occupation while on a holiday. Two naturally shaped but strange rocks at the southern end of the beach called ‘Hin Ta’ and ‘Hin Yai’ attract a lot of tourists as well.
Angthong Marine National Park – a natural haven, Angthong is an archipelago of 40 smaller island. It lies north-west of Samui Island and can be visited with the help of organized tour operators.
